Paris

🧳 Travel> City Guides> Paris

Not only can you soak in the Eiffel Tower and Louvre Musuem the architectural charm and energy is outstanding. Also the perfect grocery store made for VFAs. Very much a walking city and to get to some Arrondissements (the neighborhoods) you must take an Uber or bus which is well worth it to get a true feel of the city.

Top Restaurants to try : La Stressa (fancy need a res well in advance), Miznon (fast casual from think Tel Aviv eggplant and baba ghanoush/ fried cauliflower) ; Clamato (try to get a res at Septime next door the sister Resturant but if not Clamato is divine) - think fresh made butter, fresh fish, butternut squash, hazelnuts and roe, oysters, white wine- stunning menu). Marius et Janette is a winner and convent for Eiffel Tower views- top service, beautifully sourced menu and bread just out of the oven. Frenchie is res only and you can arrive at the wine bar across the walkway for the same food and wine selection for a walk in table - culinary powered delightful dishes and outstanding wine program, not expensive.

For those plane grocery items head to the first level of Le Bon Marche- this market has a VAST array of specialty water brands, classy decor paper napkins, Molton Brown & other type of pump soaps, macarons, hand painted chocolates and pastries, hot bar, cheese bar, caviar, quail eggs, exotic / organic produce, specialty crackers, olives, chips; international pantry selections etc. A store made for VFAs.. The city is very much English speaking so be at ease if that is your only language.

Last pop into Astier de Villatte especially during Christmas they have a room of Christmas Ornaments that are a treasure to own.
